Accessibility Statement

As part of our commitment to the global neurodiversity movement and company-wide Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives, Everyday Speech is constantly working towards making our products accessible to all students and educators.

We are in the active process of improving the accessibility of our Social Learning Platform to reach full compliance with the WCAG 2.2 A and AA section 508 standards.

We currently have several accessibility measures in place during our content and product development process, such as:

  • Subtitles available for all videos
  • Use of a WCAG 2.2 compliance checklist during design and development
  • Use of browser plugins during the design and review process to check contrast, aria tags, and other easy-to-automate checks
  • Standardized peer-review process of design specifications and developed code to identify and correct accessibility and usability issues, as well as Quality Assurance (QA) process during all feature development
  • Use of usability testing or expert heuristic evaluations for all significant feature development
  • Implementation of an accessible design system and components for use in development.

Please note that our accessibility efforts are ongoing, and we have a roadmap and internal processes dedicated to ensuring compliance as guidelines and laws evolve.

If you have any questions, or feedback to share about our accessibility features, we would love to hear from you! Please email us at accessibility@everydayspeech.com. We are also able to provide a VPAT (Vendor Accessibility Requirement Questionnaire) upon request.
