Adding or removing user access

Select the "License Type" (e.g., Premium - Bundled Curriculum (Single User)). Although marked as optional in the interface, this is required for the user to have access.In order to use the Everyday Speech Admin Portal, you must be a designated administrator for your district account. Please reach out to us at support@everydayspeech.com with any questions.


Adding a single user

To add a single user, you must have at least 1 open license seat available. You can see the number of seats available under "Subscriptions and License Distribution."

  1. In the top left corner, click the "+ Add new user" button
  2. Enter the first name, last name, and email address of the user
  3. Select the "Access Role", learn more about access roles
  4. Select the "License Type" (e.g., Premium - Bundled Curriculum (Single User)).  Although marked as optional in the interface, this is required for the user to have access.
  5. Fill in any additional optional fields if needed, and click "Add new user"
  6. Click "Close" in the popup, and refresh your page if you do not see the user in your list

Adding multiple users at once

To add multiple users, you must have enough license seats available for all the users you wish to add. If you don't have enough seats, please archive users who do not need access before adding multiple users

  1. In the top left corner, click the "+ Add multiple users" button
  2. Make a copy of this template, and add the user information according to the instructions shown. Download your completed spreadsheet as a .csv file
  3. Click "Select" to browse your computer's files for the .csv you just saved
  4. Click "Upload" located in the upper right corner of the page
  5. Click "Finish and go back to user list"
  6. Refresh your page if you do not see the users in your list
  7. Each user will be added in an "Inactive" status, which means they do not have access to Everyday Speech yet.
    1. Click "Edit Profile" under "Actions" to the right of the user record which needs an active license, select the "license type," then click "Update user."

Archiving a user

Archiving a user will remove their access to the Everyday Speech curriculum, and their status will be moved to "Inactive."

If you need to restore a user's access after they have been archived, please contact our Support team.

  1. Click "Edit profile" under "Actions" to the right of the user who you want to archive
  2. Click the "Archive user" button, then click "Close"
  3. Refresh your page if you do not see that the user's status is "Inactive"
