Best Practices to Access Everyday Speech

Computer/laptop users:

  1. Use a popular browser, such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari. We would not recommend using Internet Explorer.

  2. Make sure your browser is up to date. Please check this website (https://updatemybrowser.org ) to see what the latest version available is for your preferred browser and download it if needed.

  3. Do not share your username and password with anyone.

  4. Log out of your Everyday Speech account every time you are done using it for the day. This is especially important if you log in to your Everyday Speech account on multiple devices per day. Our system is able to detect multiple login sessions, and logging into multiple devices will result in a login error and will block the other device that is currently logged in.

  5. Disable any ad-blocking software or firewall blockers. Browser extensions and/or plugins are known to interfere with website functionality.

  6. Make sure you have a stable internet connection. If you are experiencing problems connecting to the internet, move closer to a router or restart your network connection. If this is not possible, refresh your browser when the connection is stable again.

iPad Users:

  1. We recommend using our app instead of a browser on the iPad. You can find our app here.

  2. Do not share your username and password with anyone.

  3. Make sure that you are running the latest stable version of the Social Learning Platform app, which can be found here.

  4. Update your iPad to the latest version of iOS. You can do this by going to your iPad Settings and clicking 'Update'. You can also check out this article for a more detailed guide on how to update your iPad.

  5. Make sure you have a stable internet connection. If you are experiencing problems connecting to the internet, move closer to a router or re-start your network connection. If this is not possible, close the Social Learning Platform app and restart the app once the connection is stable again.
