How to share materials with colleagues

Do you want to show your colleagues what your students are learning with Everyday Speech?

At Everyday Speech, we make it easy to send materials as homework (see this article), and share materials with colleagues! You can share materials by generating "magic links" directly within your Everyday Speech account. These links allow those without an account to see materials from Everyday Speech. This is a great way to collaborate with your team to make supporting your learners even easier!

First, make sure you are logged into your Everyday Speech account.

Then, select the material you want to share with a colleague. This could be a video, activity, or game!

For the Social Communication curriculum: In the material pop-up window, you will see a yellow button labeled Share with colleagues.

For the SEL curriculum: You will see the Share with colleagues button below each material within a lesson.

You will then see a drop-down menu with the option to Copy link or Email.

Copy Link or Email?

Copy link will Copy a magic link. Then, you can Paste that link into an email (or other messaging service) to a colleague by clicking your right mouse button and selecting "Paste" from the menu that pops up. You will not see the magic link until you Paste. You can also Paste by hitting Control+V on your keyboard (Command+V for Macs).

Here's what this would look like in an email:

Clicking Email will open another pop-up window, with the opportunity to enter a recipient's name and email address. You can enter multiple colleagues at a time if you wish!

This will automatically send an email to the colleagues you list, from Everyday Speech!

Please note that the Share with colleagues magic links will be valid for 7 days, at which point they will expire.
