Is Everyday Speech compliant with COPPA, FERPA, or other data privacy laws?

Everyday Speech strives to be compliant with all relevant data privacy laws and is a signatory to the Student Privacy Pledge. Our commitment to Student Privacy can be reviewed here. We work with school districts on a regular basis to ensure our products are compliant, and have signed numerous Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) to showcase our compliance with data privacy laws, including:

  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA)
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
  • Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA)
  • New York Education Law 2-D
  • Other state, regional and district-specific data privacy requirements

If your school district requires a signed DPA in order to utilize Everyday Speech, please email the appropriate documentation to support@everydayspeech.com, and we will be more than happy to work on this! Otherwise if you have questions about using our platform in a HIPAA compliant way, you can read more here.

Available here is our Privacy Policy that is intended to address your privacy concerns in an understandable format. However, if you’d like a quick overview of our commitment to student privacy, you can read that here
