Is the SEL curriculum aligned with CASEL?

All Units are based on the foundation of the 5 CASEL (The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning) competencies, the gold standard framework for SEL development and learning in children.

Each Unit covers one of the 5 CASEL competencies: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making.

These Units are the same across all grades. The Units remain the same each year to promote a school-wide (and district-wide) culture of community, which is also aligned with CASEL's philosophy regarding the teaching of SEL. The complexity and depth of the materials do increase as students move through the grades, and they always see new materials each year!
